Apprentice Technician

Summary
The Apprentice Technician supports the daily operations of the maintenance shop by assisting mechanics and performing minor repairs on trucks and trailers to ensure they meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. This role focuses on quick turnaround services while maintaining the highest level of safety and quality.
 

Major areas of responsibility include:

  • Assist mechanics with basic maintenance tasks and vehicle inspections.
  • Complete minor repairs including: replacing lights, repairing windshield wipers, and addressing minor air and electrical system issues.
  • Communicate any major issues to the appropriate personnel for further repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform related duties as required

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday
