Summary: Â Â
The Production Engineer 2 is an experienced individual who will support the manufacturing and production plan, ensure the safety of the workplace, optimize processes & maximize manufacturing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and support line capacities through cycle time and downtime reduction activities. Â This role will lead key initiatives and support mentorship and development of others in the production organization. Â
 Responsibilities:Â
- Utilize data analysis and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) to lead, support, develop and justify solutions with related groups/departments to solve complex problemsÂ
- Manage large project implementation, schedule, budget and resource allocations to ensure successful completionÂ
- Create, analyze, and present daily reports to identify safety, quality & delivery gaps, and lead the development of countermeasures, striving for continuous improvementÂ
- Monitor and manage equipment and processes to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and function, while minimizing operating expensesÂ
- Establish priorities and make decisions based on data analytics to effectively accomplish business objectivesÂ
- Develop long-term improvement projects to address recurring issues Â
- Develop and manage investment and expense budgets to achieve overall cost targetÂ
- Test, evaluate, and implement new and innovative technologies to improve overall equipment and process efficiencyÂ
- Develop capability of self and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiencesÂ
- Teach and mentor other engineers, delegating tasks when appropriateÂ
- Effectively communicate to all levels and shifts within the organization to ensure common understanding and directionÂ
- Communicate with local and international vendors and purchasing department to facilitate equipment repairs and replacementÂ
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsÂ
- Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards:Â
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, SustainÂ
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right ContainerÂ
- Perform other duties as assignedÂ

Education/Experience:Â
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent related experienceÂ
- 4 to 6+ years of experience in manufacturing related job or equivalent relevant experienceÂ
Â
Knowledge/skills:Â
- Battery production related knowledge preferred but not requiredÂ
- Six Sigma knowledge preferredÂ
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suiteÂ
- CAD Software (AutoCad, Solidworks, Catia, etc.) experience preferred but not requiredÂ
- Positive attitude, open minded, and team playerÂ
- Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a manufacturing environmentÂ
- Strong communication and interpersonal skillsÂ
- Ability to multitask and solve complex problemsÂ
- Strong technical analysis and troubleshooting skillsÂ
- Ability to manage projects and schedulesÂ
- Korean language proficiency a plusÂ
