Business Analyst – Utility Construction Programs

Position Overview
CARIAN is seeking a Business Analyst with utility experience to support program controls, data integrity, and closeout activities across active construction programs. This role partners closely with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate reporting, timely project closeout, and strong program visibility.
All positions require a minimum of three days per week on-site at the client or CARIAN office, frequent visits to active job sites, and may require full five-day on-site presence based on program needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support utility construction project closeout activities
Track project documentation and completion requirements
Perform data analysis and program reporting
Coordinate with project managers and field teams
Support process improvements and controls
Maintain data quality across program systems
Assist with stakeholder reporting and dashboards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical field required.
Experience Level: 5+ years of relevant experience
Utility construction closeout experience required
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Experience supporting utility capital programs preferred
Must be located within the DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia footprint
Willingness for frequent on-site presence

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $80,000 – $110,000 annually. This range represents a good-faith estimate at the time of posting; actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base salary, the role includes eligibility for bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and a company 401(k) match.
