Marketing Account Executive (Federal Government)
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Account Executive with Federal Government experience and 3 years’ account management experience to manage client relationships, lead strategic communications initiatives, and oversee integrated marketing campaigns supporting federal agencies.

This role serves as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring the successful execution of marketing, communications, outreach, public awareness, and digital engagement programs. The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing federal accounts, navigating government stakeholder environments, and delivering exceptional client service while driving measurable results. To be considered, you must be a U.S. citizen, able to pass a background check for security clearance, and available to work on-site in Washington, DC.

Job Duties / Responsibilities: 
  • Serve as the point of contact for federal government clients, building strong relationships with program managers, internal teams, and other agency stakeholders. 
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, status updates, and strategic planning sessions while ensuring client objectives, contract requirements, and deliverables are met. 
  • Manage multiple federal accounts and integrated marketing, communications, outreach, and public awareness campaigns simultaneously. 
  • Collaborate with creative, digital, social media, and content teams to develop and execute effective, data-driven communication strategies. 
  • Provide strategic recommendations on messaging, audience engagement, campaign planning, and communication channels. 
  • Oversee project plans, schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful execution. 
  • Monitor contract performance, identify and mitigate project risks, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal communications guidelines, branding standards, and approval processes. 
  • Prepare and deliver reports, executive briefings, dashboards, and performance summaries. 
  • Analyze campaign metrics and KPIs, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimize results and achieve client goals.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3 years of account management, client services, marketing, communications, or agency experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting Federal Government clients or contracts.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing, digital communications, social media, and public outreach campaigns.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships in a federal environment.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
  • Experience working within a federal contractor, marketing agency, or communications consulting environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal contract management and government procurement processes an asset.
  • Experience leading public awareness, recruitment, health communications, or stakeholder engagement campaigns preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools, CRM platforms, and analytics solutions an asset.
  • PMP, CAPM, or related project management certification is a plus.
  • Active Public Trust or Security Clearance preferred.
