Position Overview
Infinitive is seeking a Senior / Lead Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between advanced AI engineering and robust, production-grade data architecture. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, while actively leading the integration of Agentic AI workflows into enterprise solutions.
This is a dual-impact role: you will function as the Project Lead for your specific delivery workstream, while also serving as an Internal Team Lead to collaborate with and guide other Infinitive workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Execution
Data Architecture & Engineering: Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures using AWS, Python, and SQL.
AI-Assisted Development: Embed NextGen developer tools (Claude, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot) into your daily workflow to accelerate engineering cycles, write cleaner code, and set best practices for the team.
Agentic AI Architecture: Design, deploy, and manage Agentic AI orchestrated workflows and multiple agent deployments within a production ecosystem.
Pipeline Deployment: Own the end-to-end proficiency of data pipeline deployments, ensuring seamless CI/CD processes and robust operational monitoring.
Delivery & Team Leadership
Workstream Ownership: Act as the Project Lead for your designated workstream, ensuring on-time delivery, clear stakeholder communication, and alignment with client objectives.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as an Internal Team Lead across other Infinitive workstreams, mentoring junior engineers, driving architectural alignment, and fostering knowledge-sharing across teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Core Technical Stack: Strong, hands-on production experience with AWS services, advanced Python programming, and expert-level SQL.
AI & Automation Tools: Proven track record of leveraging AI-assisted coding tools, specifically Claude, Windsurf, and GitHub Copilot.
Advanced AI Implementation: Direct experience deploying Agentic AI orchestrated workflows and managing multiple AI agents in live, production environments.
DevOps & MLOps: Deep proficiency in automated pipeline deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code within cloud environments.
Risk & Compliance Mindset: Practical experience incorporating risk frameworks, security controls, and governance structures into data and AI solutions.
Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to operate as both a client-facing Project Lead and an internal technical mentor/Team Lead.
