Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Schedule Management – developing, updating, and maintaining the project schedule to prevent delays.
- Field Oversight – coordinate and supervise all field staff and subcontractors, ensuring work aligns with plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Communication & Reporting – maintain accurate daily logs, safety reports, and other required documentation. Facilitate clear communication among project team members.
- Quality & Compliance – monitor work for quality assurance, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with all codes and regulations.
- Closeout Management – manage project closeout activities, including third-party inspections, punch list completion, and warranty activation.
- Leadership – provide technical leadership and supervision at the project site
- Safety – enforce safety policies, regulations, and working rules
- Facilitation – internal project meetings with team members and appropriate third parties to make necessary changes, finalize, and implement the work schedule
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required, at least two years of college preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in construction or real estate field
- Ability to communicate effectively to all parties involved with a project
- Ability to speak and/or understand Spanish is preferred
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, and other specifications
- Proficiency with computers and basic Microsoft Office programs. Experience with Procore is preferred.
- Ability to adhere to DFS Construction’s safety policies
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
