Overview

Highlight is seeking a Washington, DC based Software Developer to join a new team supporting Department of Transportation. This role will build web applications and engage with non-technical stakeholders on project needs. Join us as a fellow employee owner! 


Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for optimization of backend performance within the web-based systems of an enterprise program management office. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6-years’ experience in writing complex queries and design efficient schemas.
  • Proficiency in building scalable web applications and optimizing backend performance.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical partners, ensuring stakeholders understand the long-term impact of technical debt on business goals.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science
  • Ability to obtain/maintain public trust background check
