Who We Are Looking For: 

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Government Affairs Analyst to provide policy intelligence and analytical support across aerospace and defense engagement efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on research, data, and turning policy signals into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze defense and aerospace policy developments affecting critical metals and manufacturing 
  • Track NDAA, appropriations, and regulatory actions relevant to the defense industrial base 
  • Produce policy briefs, legislative summaries, and issue analyses for leadership 
  • Monitor DoW programs and funding opportunities related to supply chain resilience 
  • Support strategic planning through data-driven insights on government priorities 
  • Maintain internal tracking tools for policy and stakeholder engagement 


Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of experience in policy analysis, government research, or defense-related roles 
  • Strong understanding of U.S. government and defense policy processes 
  • Interest in aerospace, defense, and national security economics 
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and research skills 
  • Ability to synthesize complex policy information into clear insights 
  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, political science, or related field
