Position Overview
The Activity Security Representative III (ASR III) provides multi-disciplined security support to a customer’s facility and organization. This role supports day-to-day security operations across Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) environments.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classification reviews of inbound and outbound correspondence
- Maintain document accountability databases and associated records
- Process inbound and outbound classified mail and receipt tracking
- Perform destruction of classified materials in accordance with policy
- Manage accountability and processing of magnetic media
- Provide reproduction support for classified materials
- Maintain daily logs supporting document control and administrative functions
- Assist with inbound data processing and outbound data transfer operations
- Transfer electronic data files to internal customers
- Maintain and update customer point-of-contact databases
- Process, track, and maintain inbound and outbound visit notices
- Escort facility visitors and maintain visitor control logs
- Assist in preparation of facility access control badges
- Conduct entry and exit inspections
- Support maintenance of access control systems, including visitor control
- Perform data entry in Personnel Access Security System (PASS) and maintain billet/quota data
- Maintain personnel security files for supported personnel
- Enforce customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Support security education and awareness programs
- Provide administrative and operational support as directed by leadership
- Track and monitor security clearance processing with government personnel
- Participate in Air Force SAP security compliance inspections
- Implement Top Secret Control procedures for accountable materials
- Prepare and process classified mail, courier packages, faxes, and receipts
- Prepare, process, and review Program Access Requests (PARs)
- Execute SAP Nomination Process Questionnaires
- Conduct DCII, JPAS/DISS, and SAPNP reviews for SAP access eligibility
- Perform data entry and record checks in AFADS and maintain personnel access data
- Conduct indoctrinations for cleared personnel
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members
Required Experience
- 5–7 years of related security experience
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) may substitute for up to 3 years of experience
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) may substitute for up to 5 years of experience
- Maximum substitution for SPED certifications is 5 years
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
Certifications
- Must complete DoD SAPCO-approved SAPNP training (if performing personnel security functions)
Security Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program (SAP) information
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph
