Description
Position Objective:
To support the Corporate Legal Affairs division of the Legal Department by providing administrative services on a wide range of corporate matters that arise during the conduct of the charitable programs of the organization and its supported organizations
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
⢠Support the General Counsel with their management of the operations and affairs of the Corporate Legal Affairs division under their supervision
Ā Ā Ā o Assist the Corporate Paralegal and Legacy Realization Coordinator by processing planned giving communications, including:
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā - Reviewing and summarizing documents such as wills, trusts, deeds, and correspondence
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā - Reviewing, suggesting revisions to, and preparing for the General Counselās signature receipts, releases, indemnification agreements, and other legal instruments
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā - Preparing, sending, and filing correspondence and other communications, application and distribution forms, and legal instruments
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā - Communicating with external representatives overseeing gifts and asset distribution, including professional and lay executors, administrators and trustees, and attorneys and corporate fiduciaries
Ā Ā Ā Ā - Maintaining accurate records of legacies and efforts in furtherance of their realizationĀ
Ā Ā Ā o Drafting and incorporating template addenda into simple contracts
Ā Ā Ā o Processing requests relating to and maintaining the organizationās time-managed contract database
Ā Ā Ā o Reviewing reported lobbying activity data, and drafting and submitting lobbyist registration and activity disclosure forms
Ā Ā Ā o Processing the Legal Departmentās invoices and credit card reports
Ā Ā Ā o Reviewing and returning or routing voicemail messages as needed
Ā Ā Ā o Processing the Legal Departmentās mail
⢠Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
⢠An associateās degree and five years of experience in the areas identified under Primary Responsibilities and Duties, or a bachelorās degree and three years of experience in those areas
⢠Ability to work in the organizationās Washington, D.C. office daily
⢠Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
⢠Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
⢠Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks within strict time constraints
⢠Experience with Microsoft 365 programs
⢠Commitment to the objectives of the organization

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.61 - $23.79. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidateās experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.Ā
