Our members include universal banks, regional banks, and the major foreign banks doing business in the United States. Collectively, they employ millions of Americans, make a majority of the nation’s small business loans, and serve as an engine for financial innovation and economic growth. Our staff includes economists, researchers, financial and policy analysts, government relations professionals, and attorneys, all focused on using data and analysis to shape sound policy. We distribute our research and analysis to U.S. and global regulators, members of Congress, academics, and media through academic-quality research papers, blog posts, white papers, comment letters, and Congressional testimony. Position Summary: The Assistant Vice President, Graphic Designer will play an important role in serving as a visual storyteller for the organization. This individual will work with the communications team on design projects and will assist with promoting BPI content and ad campaigns on digital channels, including websites, social media and email. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Design engaging visual content using images, animation, infographics, fact sheets, brochures, interactive timelines, videos, charts, invitations and other creative collateral to convey BPI’s priorities, both organic and paid. Shoot, capture, photograph and live-stream events and videos such as interviews, talking heads, fireside chats, testimonials, and b-roll. Manage video and livestream coverage of BPI events and activities. Help enforce brand and style guidelines and design standard creative templates for the organization, such as PowerPoints, letterhead, print supplies, and more. Support the communications team with promotion of branding, posts, events, larger campaigns and more. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional visual design, color and typographic skills with an understanding of how to turn complex topics into easily consumable content. Experience in graphic design and development (Adobe Creative Suite), sourcing quality digital imagery and executing design ideas in WordPress, MailChimp or similar tools. Understanding of video and image formats, resolution, size and compression. Post-production experience with design skills and experience in motion graphics, video editing and transcoding for multiple delivery formats. Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript preferred. Collaborative, goal-oriented, organized and deadline-driven. Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in graphic design, communications, marketing or related major. 1-2 years of experience in graphic design or digital marketing.
