Audit Readiness Manager

Job Summary

The FIAR Manager provides leadership and oversight for financial improvement and audit remediation initiatives within a Department of War environment. The Manager directs project execution, manages staff and client relationships, and ensures successful delivery of FIAR program objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage FIAR program activities supporting audit readiness initiatives.
Oversee project workstreams and ensure deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
Serve as liaison with government leadership, auditors, and stakeholders.
Provide strategic guidance on internal controls and financial reporting.
Manage staff assignments, performance, and development.
Review and approve key deliverables and executive briefings.
Identify risks and improvement opportunities across FIAR initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience:

6+ years supporting FIAR initiatives, federal financial audits, or internal controls.
Experience supporting Government or DoW clients preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing engagements

Skills

Strong knowledge of federal financial management and audit readiness frameworks.
Experience managing complex projects and coordinating teams.
Ability to communicate financial and audit issues to senior leadership.
Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with federal financial systems or ERP environments.
Professional certification such as CPA, CISA, CGFM, or CDFM.

Status: Contingency – This work is contingent upon award.

Salary Range: $90-$130k per year
