BPM Engineer III (Appian Developer)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced BPM Engineer III (Appian Developer) to support the design, development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of Appian-based business process management solutions. The role involves developing complex Appian applications, workflow automation, backend database functionality, system integrations, defect resolution, and participation in Agile sprint activities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications and workflows.
Build and enhance complex Appian SAIL interfaces and process models.
Develop Appian objects including records, reports, interfaces, process models, and integrations.
Perform application enhancements, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
Develop and optimize backend database solutions.
Create and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of overall IT experience.
4+ years of hands-on Appian development experience.
Strong expertise in complex Appian SAIL development.
Experience with Appian process modeling, records, reports, integrations, and workflow automation.
Strong backend database development experience with:

MySQL
MariaDB
Microsoft SQL Server

Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Appian Level 2 (L2) Certification.
Experience with Appian deployment and environment management.
Experience in BPM and workflow optimization initiatives.
Knowledge of performance tuning and database optimization.
