THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Analytics and Modeling Program offers you an opportunity to develop analytical skills through in-depth technical and business training, and to ultimately leverage those skills and quantitative expertise to power intelligent decisions for managing the business, financial reporting, and risk control.

THE TRAINING PROGRAM

You will participate in a 10-week seminar-style training designed to strengthen your mortgage industry knowledge and quantitative analytics capabilities. Through hands-on experience and interaction with the analytics teams during the training, you will gain a strong understanding of Fannie Mae’s business and have a quick start on your technical capability.

After training completion, you will be assigned to an analytics-focused team within Fannie Mae based on business needs, program demand, and candidate skills and interests. Placement areas vary by year and may include analytics teams in Single-Family, Finance, Enterprise Risk, or AI Accelerator.

Depending on your team placement, you may contribute to work such as:

  • Applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and econometric techniques to solve complex business problems and support informed decisions
  • Creating intuitive, self-service analytics tools that make insights easier to access and understand
  • Crafting analytical narratives using effective data visualization techniques
  • Building models that forecast loan performance, property values, home prices, and other factors critical to financial and regulatory reporting
  • Conducting sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess the potential financial and capital impacts of changing market conditions, key assumptions, and alternative strategic initiatives
