Work Model: Hybrid — In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote Monday and Friday
The Center for Digital Risk and Innovation Intern will support the work of NRF’s Center for Digital Risk & Innovation (CDRI), NRF’s hub for engagement on key technology issues that have significant policy and risk management implications for the global retail industry. The Center engages with retailers, industry partners and other stakeholders to develop guidelines and recommended best practices on technology issues and inform decision-making and risk management by retail business leaders. Essential Functions:Â
- Carry out research and writing in support of current CDRI projects, including with respect to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention.
- Support engagement with external stakeholders on CDRI work products
- Support planning for meetings of NRF’s technology-focused councils and committees, including the NRF AI Working Group
- Attend and provide reports from relevant tech policy-related events and hearings in DC
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Rising undergraduate junior or senior; or current graduate student.
- Coursework and/or demonstrated interest in technology policy, including with respect to AI and cybersecurity
- Experience with using publicly-available AI tools and applications
- Strong writing and research capabilities
