You Are:
As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the independent design, deploy, secure, and maintain a cloud-based training sandbox within Cloud One.
The Work:
- Design, deploy, secure, and maintain a cloud-based training sandbox within Cloud One.
- Own the environment end-to-end, including architecture, configuration, security compliance, troubleshooting, and documentation, with minimal to no support from others.
- Support hands-on training, demonstrations, and experimentation, adhering to security policies and Cloud One governance.
Here’s What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience, including designing and managing secure cloud environments
- Proficiency with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Security Groups)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of RMF, STIGs, and Cloud One security controls
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across cloud, network, and system layers
- Ability to work fully independently, managing all aspects of environment deployment and sustainment
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience working in a federal or public sector environment
- Experience building sandbox or lab environments for training or technical demonstrations.
- Advanced Terraform or CloudFormation expertise, including modular and reusable designs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in secure environments.
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, ECS, or EKS).
- Knowledge of zero-trust security principles, logging, monitoring, and cost optimization in GovCloud.
- AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or Security Specialty.
- IAM certification.
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance or higher.
