As a member of the Strategic Communications department reporting to the Director, Digital Strategy, the Specialist, Content and Events Marketing is responsible for managing day-to-day execution of full-scale marketing plans to promote ICI’s business, brand, conferences, events, and webinars.


MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with the Director, Digital Strategy and Strategic Communications leadership to operationalize the broader communications vision for ICI into effective storytelling across audiences.
  • Builds and executes full-scale marketing plans for conferences, workshops, webinars, and other ICI events, leveraging tactics including social media, email, SMS, paid promotion, and more.
  • Supports the planning, development, and execution of research to gain in-depth knowledge of all ICI target audiences.
  • Writes copy for conference promotions and events pages on the ICI website.
  • Prepares attendee, exhibitor, sponsor, and speaker social media toolkits.
  • Coordinates event promotion and registration through Cvent event management system. 
  • Works closely with subject matter experts to market events to appropriate groups, ensure customer list accuracy, and curate customer databases for future promotions.
  • Builds long-term relationships with digital stakeholders and partners with colleagues at member firms and allied organizations.
  • Creates daily newsletters published each morning of a conference sharing panel highlights, speaker insights, and more.
  • Drafts pre- and post-conference blogs, previewing and recapping conference highlights.
  • Partners with the creative team to develop video promotions, on-the-ground testimonials, and sizzle reels.
  • Supports the broader digital team on the promotion of ICI Viewpoints blogs, research reports, and other ICI priorities.
  • Collects rigorous metrics and KPIs to inform a proactive, forward-looking approach that can improve ICI’s marketing.


If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and minimum of 2 – 4 years related experience in event promotions and meetings.
  • Previous management of social channels and digital platforms.
  • Experience supporting the development and execution of tailored communications and/or marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in finance or other heavily regulated industries is a plus. 
  • Outstanding written communication abilities. 
  • Outstanding understanding of social and digital strategy. 
  • Commitment to the creation of creative, impactful, and compelling content contributing to ICI’s strategic goals. 
  • Excellent professional judgement.
  • Ability to delegate tasks while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Deep understanding of digital and social platforms and relevant strategies
  • Ability to collect and use data, analytics, and other KPIs for campaign development and execution.
