About Enlightened

Enlightened is seeking a Credentialing Administrative Support Coordinator to support one of our healthcare clients serving the DC Medicaid population. This position is an employee of Enlightened and is dedicated full-time at our client's site. The selected candidate will support provider credentialing and enrollment operations while helping maintain compliance across the provider network.

Position Overview

Location: Washington, DC (SW office — within walking distance of two Metro stations)

Work Arrangement: ***This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring employees to work in the office four days a week and one day remotely

The Credentialing Administrative Support Coordinator provides day-to-day administrative support to the credentialing and enrollment team. This role assists with collecting documentation, preparing provider files, tracking application statuses, and coordinating follow-up with providers and internal departments. MUST HAVE has at least two (2) years of credentialing experience, is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and upload provider documentation required for credentialing and enrollment.
  • Assist with completing credentialing applications using established templates and checklists.
  • Maintain accurate electronic provider files and ensure all required documentation is current and properly labeled.
  • Conduct outreach to providers and office staff to obtain missing information or clarify application details.
  • Track outstanding items and follow up to ensure timely submission.
  • Enter provider information into credentialing systems, spreadsheets, and tracking logs.
  • Update status notes and documentation as applications move through the credentialing workflow.
  • Submit and update internal tickets for provider setup and system activation.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure provider files are complete before review.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining organized, compliant records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting provider credentialing and enrollment operations is required.
  • Experience working with provider credentialing files, applications, primary source verification documentation, and credentialing workflows is required.
  • 1–2 years of administrative, healthcare operations, or office support experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow structured processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Experience in credentialing, provider data management, provider enrollment, or health plan operations is a plus but not required.
