Description
The Cyber Security Analyst (Senior) provides expert-level cybersecurity support for Navy systems, ensuring compliance with DoD and Department of the Navy security requirements. This role leads Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, supports system authorization processes, and ensures that systems meet stringent cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities
RMF & Authorization Support
- Lead and manage Risk Management Framework (RMF) processesÂ
- Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and authorization packagesÂ
- Support Authority to Operate (ATO) efforts and security reviewsÂ
Security Assessment & Compliance
- Conduct and validate security control assessments in accordance with DoD standardsÂ
- Evaluate system configurations and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policiesÂ
- Review and prepare security artifacts for submission and approvalÂ
Vulnerability Management
- Oversee vulnerability scanning, risk assessments, and remediation effortsÂ
- Analyze findings and implement corrective actionsÂ
- Track vulnerabilities and ensure timely resolutionÂ
Security Operations & Monitoring
- Support continuous monitoring activitiesÂ
- Analyze security logs and identify potential threats or anomaliesÂ
- Provide guidance on incident response and mitigation strategiesÂ
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with system owners, ISSOs, engineers, and leadershipÂ
- Provide cybersecurity guidance and recommendationsÂ
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviewsÂ
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree + 15 years experience OR 20+ years relevant experienceÂ
- Strong experience with:Â
- RMF / ATO processesÂ
- DoD cybersecurity frameworksÂ
- Active Secret clearanceÂ
