Description

The Cyber Security Analyst (Senior) provides expert-level cybersecurity support for Navy systems, ensuring compliance with DoD and Department of the Navy security requirements. This role leads Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, supports system authorization processes, and ensures that systems meet stringent cybersecurity standards.


Key Responsibilities


RMF & Authorization Support

  • Lead and manage Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes 
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and authorization packages 
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) efforts and security reviews 

Security Assessment & Compliance

  • Conduct and validate security control assessments in accordance with DoD standards 
  • Evaluate system configurations and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies 
  • Review and prepare security artifacts for submission and approval 

Vulnerability Management

  • Oversee vulnerability scanning, risk assessments, and remediation efforts 
  • Analyze findings and implement corrective actions 
  • Track vulnerabilities and ensure timely resolution 

Security Operations & Monitoring

  • Support continuous monitoring activities 
  • Analyze security logs and identify potential threats or anomalies 
  • Provide guidance on incident response and mitigation strategies 

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Coordinate with system owners, ISSOs, engineers, and leadership 
  • Provide cybersecurity guidance and recommendations 
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 15 years experience OR 20+ years relevant experience 
  • Strong experience with: 
  • RMF / ATO processes 
  • DoD cybersecurity frameworks 
  • Active Secret clearance
