This position supports a federal agency client in delivering advanced data analytics, Management Information System (MIS) operations, and performance measurement services.

Essential Functions

Collect, validate, process, and integrate investigative and performance data from client-designated cases using the agency MIS.
Maintain and update data sources required to sustain operational dashboards and reporting products.
Construct SQL, Python, and/or R queries to extract data and support routine analytical requests.
Prepare reports, graphs, charts, and visualizations for program and agency management review.
Assisting in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines for the ingestion of interagency datasets.
Perform data quality checks and contribute to quarterly MIS data quality audits.
Maintain data dictionaries and documentation in compliance with agency data governance standards.
Support transition-in and transition-out activities, including knowledge transfer and documentation of operational processes.
Participate in data evaluation and review processes, documenting issues and tracking resolution progress.
Assist senior analysts with statistical summaries, dashboard maintenance, and ad-hoc data requests

Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
Minimum 3 years of applied experience in data science, data analysis, or a related analytics role.
Demonstrated proficiency in Python, R, and/or SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Working knowledge of Tableau or equivalent dashboard/visualization tools.
Experience with Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
Familiarity with ETL concepts and data pipeline workflows.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical processes clearly.
Active Secret security clearance (minimum); Top Secret/SCI eligibility may be required.

Desired Knowledge/Skills 

Experience supporting law enforcement, intelligence community, or federal government analytics programs.
Exposure to large-scale statistical datasets or investigative performance data.
Knowledge of DOJ or interagency data systems (FBI, DEA, HSI, ATF, IRS-CI, USAO).
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality methodologies
