Wichita Tribal Enterprises, a subsidiary of Quivera Enterprises, LLC, is seeking Desktop Technicians (Levels III, IV, and V) to support the Department of the Interior / Indian Affairs (DOI/IA) enterprise user environment.
These roles provide end-user computing support across enterprise IT environments, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network infrastructure. Technicians are responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of hardware and software systems, as well as supporting standard and specialized applications.
Progression across levels reflects increasing responsibility in technical complexity, leadership, project execution, and enterprise impact.
NIST SP 800-53 Compliance Requirement
All personnel must operate within the NIST SP 800-53 framework developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements, including the Federal Information Security Modernization Act.
Desktop Technician III
Overview
The Desktop Technician III provides advanced Tier II/III technical support and operates independently with minimal supervision, resolving moderately complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier II/III support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
- Install, configure, and maintain IT systems and devices
- Support specialized applications (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD)
- Document incidents and resolutions in ticketing systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalations
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of related IT support experience
- Experience supporting:
- Desktop/laptop systems
- Mobile devices
- Printers/scanners
- LAN, servers, and network switches
- Ability to troubleshoot independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in federal or enterprise environments
- Exposure to specialized applications (GIS, AutoCAD)
- Familiarity with ticketing and remote support tools
Desktop Technician IV
Overview
The Desktop Technician IV serves as a senior technical resource, leading projects and providing advanced troubleshooting with minimal to no supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across enterprise environments
- Lead system upgrades, deployments, and technical initiatives
- Develop and maintain project documentation
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- Mentor junior technicians
- Coordinate with stakeholders and IT teams
- Support specialized enterprise applications
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of related experience
- Strong enterprise IT support experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading teams (5+ personnel)
- Strong documentation and process development experience
- Federal/DOI environment experience
Desktop Technician V
Overview
The Desktop Technician V is a senior-level technical leader responsible for enterprise support, project management, and team oversight. This role serves as a key technical authority and decision-maker.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support across enterprise IT environments
- Lead and manage technical projects from planning through execution
- Oversee teams of desktop technicians
- Develop operational documentation and standards
- Serve as senior SME for enterprise systems
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement
- Support specialized and mission-critical applications
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Expert knowledge of:
- Microsoft operating systems
- Enterprise desktop infrastructure
- Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Proven leadership and project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing teams (5+ personnel)
- Experience in federal or DOI environments
- Experience with enterprise application ecosystems
Physical Demands – IT / Office Role
This position is primarily office-based and requires prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and working on a computer. Occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching may be required.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds (occasionally more)
- Visual acuity including close, distance, and color vision required
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional office environment
- Occasional travel and extended hours may be required
Physical Demands – Construction / Field Role
This role may include work in field or mixed environments depending on assignment.
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and working on uneven terrain
- Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and wear required PPE
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively in active environments
- Travel and extended/irregular hours may be required
