About the PositionÂ
We’re excited to welcome a creative, detail‑oriented Drafter to our team in Washington, DC! In this full‑time, on‑site role, you’ll bring your drafting expertise and advanced CAD skills to projects where precision and innovation truly matter. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and love transforming ideas into high‑quality technical drawings, you’ll fit right in with our team’s commitment to excellence!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate drawings and plans using CAD software for a variety of construction and renovation projects.
- Interpret architectural and engineering sketches, specifications, and notes to produce technical drawings.
- Update and revise drawings based on input from project managers, engineers, or architects.
- Maintain and organize drawing files and documentation in line with company and government standards.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements and reflect any changes.
- Conduct site visits as needed to collect information for project drawings.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of relevant drafting experience with an Associate’s degree in Drafting or a closely related discipline, or
- At least 5 years of relevant drafting experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Drafting or a closely related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) is required.
- Solid understanding of drafting principles, building codes, and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Preferred
- Experience with BIM software (such as Revit) is a plus.
- Experience supporting federal agencies, the Department of Defense, or the Army National Guard is a plus.
Security Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a clear background check and fingerprinting; completed prior to onboarding.
