AAJ is seeking an Education Program Coordinator, Convention, for its Education department. The Education Program Coordinator, Convention, will support the planning and execution of Education convention planning.  The Education Program Coordinator, Convention will focus on two large-scale conventions annually (2000+ attendees per convention). Responsibilities: Support the planning and execution of AAJ Education convention programming, including working with faculty and course advisors to develop and plan education programming; organizing attendee and speaker materials; communicating with speakers and support staff in a clear, efficient, and prompt manner. Be the primary contact for day-to-day communication with convention speakers to provide information about deadlines, program schedules, the collection of reference and live presentation materials, travel and lodging logistics for speakers, and ensure compliance with Speaker Guidelines. Develop and maintain the records tracking system, speaker database, and attendee list, including the collection of reference materials. Conduct post-program follow-up, including preparing attendee and faculty communication and expense reports. Support the collection and review of speaker applications. Draft and review marketing and promotion materials for convention educational programs. Provide onsite administration of the continuing legal education programs at AAJ’s Annual and Winter Conventions, including working with hotels and convention centers on logistical planning, set-up and break-down, and other onsite coordination. As needed, provide onsite administration of other education programs. Perform other duties as assigned.  Qualifications BA/BS required. Two to three years of work experience in an office, non-profit, or association setting preferred; experience working in the legal field or with legal professionals a plus. Strong organizational skills and proven experience with completing projects on tight deadlines and within budget and handling multiple projects at one time. Efficiency and attention to detail absolutely necessary; experience proofreading preferred.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate clearly with colleagues across multiple departments, supervisors, professional members, and support staff, including onsite support staff. Ability to work independently and show good judgment. Computer literacy, including proficiency using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and database programs (such as Netforum) required; experience keeping web content up to date preferred. Compensation: The salary range for this position is $53,800- $60,000. Salary will be determined by the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications.
