Position Overview:Â
The Enterprise SharePoint Services Representative (ESSR) will serve as a technical and functional expert for SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, supporting the architecture, configuration, and day‑to‑day sustainment of the National Guard Bureau (NGB) Knowledge Management System (KMS). The position will work closely with Knowledge Management Analysts, SMEs, and mission partners to ensure the system is intuitive, reliable, secure, and aligned with enterprise Knowledge Management (KM) governance.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Configure, maintain, and enhance SharePoint Online sites, libraries, content types, permissions, and workflows supporting the NGB KMS.Â
- Implement metadata schemas, taxonomy structures, and content governance rules to ensure consistency and discoverability across the enterprise.Â
- Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline content ingestion, approvals, lifecycle management, and archival processes.Â
- Provide technical troubleshooting, user support, and platform guidance to NGB directorates and mission partners.Â
- Collaborate with KM Analysts to translate governance requirements into functional SharePoint solutions.Â
- Support enterprise search optimization, navigation design, and user experience improvements.Â
- Ensure compliance with NGB security, access control, and information governance policies.Â
- Assist in preparing the KMS for future AI‑enabled capabilities, including structured content organization for Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).Â
Preferred ExperienceÂ
- Prior support to federal agencies or large enterprise KM programs.Â
- Familiarity with NGB mission sets, organizational structure, and collaboration requirements.Â
- Experience supporting content governance, enterprise search, or structured knowledge‑capture activities.Â
- At least five (5) years of experience administering or developing in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.Â
- Strong understanding of site architecture, permissions models, content types, and metadata/taxonomy management.Â
- Experience with workflow automation (Power Automate) and enterprise collaboration tools.Â
- Ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders in a complex, multi‑directorate environment.Â
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑support skills.Â
