Overview

Assist with general office tasks and support senior leadership on various areas within I&A’s Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for TCGM.

Background

The office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Textiles, Consumer Goods, and Materials (TCGM) within Industry & Analysis (I&A) has identified several administrative tasks to be completed. I&A is one of three business units under the International Trade Administration (ITA), with a mission to produce the world’s most in-depth, high-quality trade analysis while creating and implementation innovative trade and investment strategies that unlock global opportunities for U.S. businesses. TCGM is comprised of four industry sector teams: the Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA), the Office of Consumer Goods (OCG), the Office of Materials Industries (OMI), and the Office of Critical Minerals and Metals (OCMM).

Responsibilities

  • Performs sensitive and highly visible administrative functions for a single or small group of Senior Executive(s).
  • Often the first person corresponded with for the Executive.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and writing skills.
  • Plans and produces executive correspondence, operates general office equipment and is proficient with Office Suite software applications.
  • Manages schedule and calendars.
  • May perform or have access to activities of a highly confidential nature that may require comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Administers specialized programs.
  • May act as proxy for the executive.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 6 or more years related experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and writing skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)

Location and Work Hours

This position is 100% on-site and requires daily reporting to the following location:

Remote or telework arrangements may be granted on a case-by- case basis.

 

This position follows a standard 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. Employees are expected to be available during core business hours with additional working hours scheduled outside of core hours as needed to fulfill the full work schedule.

 

The candidate must currently reside within commutable distance to the work location.

Compensation

This position is being recruited in support of a competitive federal contracting opportunity, and AES is continuing to develop its staffing, labor category, and compensation strategy. Because this position is expected to support a primarily remote workforce and qualified candidates may reside in different geographic markets throughout the United States, compensation expectations may vary considerably by location.

 

Final compensation will consider factors including geographic market, relevant experience, education, specialized records management expertise, applicable labor category requirements, and contractual and business considerations.
