cFocus Software seeks a Security Architect to join our program supporting the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This position is remote. This position requires the ability a Public Trust clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, engineering, or related field
  • Experience in enterprise cybersecurity, network operations, or security engineering environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale, complex cybersecurity environments
  • Experience working in federal or highly regulated environments preferred
  • Required Certifications
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Or equivalent cybersecurity leadership certifications
Duties:
  • Establish and maintain enterprise security architecture aligned with federal cybersecurity mandates
  • Provide recommendations on technology selection, design, and implementation
  • Design and validate secure architectures across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
  • Ensure alignment with NIST, FISMA, RMF, Zero Trust, and other federal standards
  • Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and security engineering evaluations
  • Define security controls, segmentation strategies, and defense-in-depth architectures
  • Support integration of SOC/NOC tools including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and IDS/IPS
  • Develop architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and operations teams to ensure secure system integration
  • Support continuous monitoring, threat detection, and vulnerability management initiatives
  • Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and recommend improvements
