Financial Analyst analyzes past and present financial data of organization and estimates future revenues and expenditures, applying principles of finance.    

  • Provides financial and disbursement issue research support for end users and Debt Collection Management personnel.  
  • Attends and/or facilitates meetings and working groups with stakeholders to support review and reconciliation of financial and disbursement related issues. 
  • Creating, organizing, and managing financial and disbursement documentation for reference and tracking.  
  • In coordination with Tier 1 support and management, tracks and addresses production issues relating to financial and disbursement processing related functions within client system.  
  • Provides functional validation and regression testing for all financial processing related issues raised on an ad hoc basis, PROD Support, meetings and/or working groups. 
  • Run and document financial analysis projects. 
  • Aid organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control.  
  • Evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc.  
  • Assists program teams with financial reporting requirements to corporate.
  • Reviews program-related AP/AR invoices for accuracy.  
  • Prepares presentation slide decks for program financial performance reporting.  
  • Completes various special projects as assigned by finance leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related field required

Other Job Specific Skills

  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think on one’s feet.  
  • Understanding of financial planning and strategy.  
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment. 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and articulate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Intermediate Proficiency Level in Structured Query Language (SQL), Data Quality Tools & Methods, and Critical Thinking.

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
