Summary:
The Class A CDL Flowboy Driver is a truck driver who operates a specialized truck designed to transport and precisely control the flow of asphalt materials to paving sites. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck,
•    Properly track and document activity log,
•    Report any issues or incidents to dispatch,
•    Inspect truck before and after trip,
•    Clean out bed of the truck at the end of the shift to prevent build up from piling up,
•    Provide hands-on support for crew as needed,
•    Daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections; maintain daily log,
•    Inspect, clean and perform minor repairs to equipment using hand tools and or report malfunctions to supervisors,
•    Work in areas of uneven terrain, 
•    Assist in the training of new or less skilled drivers,
•    Ability to perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to, dumping, snow plowing and salt roadways, 
•    Must wear proper attire at all times including all PPE,
•    Required to work extended hours including nights and weekends, 
•    Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

•    Must have a valid Class A CDL,
•    Applicants must be able to operate Manual Transmission vehicles, 
•    Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a tractor-trailer,
•    High School Diploma or GED required,
•    Must be able to tie down equipment, secure cargo to prevent shifting or falling,
•    Must have a relatively clean driving record,
•    Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening.

Working Conditions: 

•    Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday,
•    Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, and twist, throughout the workday,
•    This includes frequently walking on sloped ground and slippery and uneven surfaces,
•    This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time and the constant use of hands and arms,
•    This job requires the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (e.g., glasses, contact lenses),
•    Performing strenuous work for extended periods in varying temperatures, humidity, wind, and other inclement weather conditions,
•    Work may be performed in environments with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and  moving equipment.
