Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics, Organizational Change Management, Communications, Training, and Information Technology (IT) Support Services. We are currently seeking an Information Assurance Technician (Mid) to join our team of professionals in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Engineering and Logistics Directorate (SEA 05).

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Perform information assurance support for Navy/DoD systems across classified and unclassified environments to maintain security, compliance, and operational continuity. 
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, security reviews, compliance checks, and risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential weaknesses across SEA 05 systems and operations. 
  • Monitor systems for security incidents, suspicious activity, breaches, and compliance issues while supporting corrective action and incident response efforts. 
  • Assist with implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of security policies, procedures, access controls, and technical safeguards aligned with DoD, DON, NAVSEA, and NIST requirements. 
  • Maintain user access controls, account permissions, audit records, compliance documentation, and system security files supporting inspections and program oversight. 
  • Support Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) asset management activities, including deployments, assignments, refresh support, asset disposition, and configuration management. 
  • Support electronic spillage reporting processes, system security issue resolution, and coordination with the Assistant Security Manager and supporting IT teams. 
  • Prepare reports, executive briefs, audit documentation, compliance records, and recommendations related to security posture, remediation efforts, and operational readiness. 
  • Provide security awareness training, policy communication, and technical guidance to SEA 05 personnel and contractor staff regarding information assurance requirements and procedures. 
  • Coordinate with NMCI, NAVSEA CIO staff, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support issue resolution, compliance efforts, and continuous process improvement. 
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)

Education

  • Applicants must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED and ten (10) years of relevant experience in information assurance assessment or a related functional area; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of relevant experience in information assurance assessment or a related functional area; OR
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience performing vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and security audits to identify and mitigate potential security weaknesses.
  • Experience assisting in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Experience monitoring systems for security breaches and intrusions.
  • Experience responding to security incidents and supporting remediation efforts.
  • Experience conducting security awareness training.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including NIST and DoD policies.
  • Experience maintaining security documentation and records.
  • An understanding of security principles, assessment tools, and security technologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISA preferred.
