Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

Full Time, Washington, DC

TS clearance with /SCI eligibility required

This position is contingent upon contract award

Job Description:

The ISSM will oversee the assessment and authorization process, providing risk recommendations to the FBI Authorizing Official (AO) and ensuring compliance across a portfolio of systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform independent assessments of ATO packages and provide risk recommendations.
Ensure compliance with FISMA, DOJ, IC, and FBI continuous monitoring requirements.
Direct emergency actions, such as critical patches or incident responses.
Coordinate with ISSOs, ISSEs, and system owners to address security gaps and ensure quality throughout the SAA lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
Extensive experience in security management, risk assessment, and compliance.
Knowledge of NIST RMF, FISMA, and federal security standards.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.

Estimated Locations:

NCR (J. Edgar Hoover Building): Primary location for oversight and coordination.
HSV (FBI Campus): Support for systems at the FBI Campus.
CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Systems): Limited presence for CJIS systems.
