Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

Full Time, Washington, DC

TS clearance with /SCI eligibility required

Job Description:

The ISSM will oversee the assessment and authorization process, providing risk recommendations to the FBI Authorizing Official (AO) and ensuring compliance across a portfolio of systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform independent assessments of ATO packages and provide risk recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with FISMA, DOJ, IC, and FBI continuous monitoring requirements.
  • Direct emergency actions, such as critical patches or incident responses.
  • Coordinate with ISSOs, ISSEs, and system owners to address security gaps and ensure quality throughout the SAA lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in security management, risk assessment, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of NIST RMF, FISMA, and federal security standards.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
Estimated Locations:
  • NCR (J. Edgar Hoover Building): Primary location for oversight and coordination.
  • HSV (FBI Campus): Support for systems at the FBI Campus.
  • CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Systems): Limited presence for CJIS systems.
