Job DetailsJob Location: Washington Headquarters - Washington, DC 20237Salary Range: $53.01 - $53.01 HourlyGraphic Production Design and produce on-air graphics, show packages, lower thirds, full screens, and motion elements. Collaborate with editorial, studio, and field teams to develop compelling visual content. Ensure brand consistency across all graphic deliverables. Camera Operation Operate studio and/or field cameras for live programs, interviews, special projects, and promos. Set up lighting, framing, and composition to deliver high-quality visuals. Video Editing Edit packages, promos, features, and digital content using industry-standard non-linear editing systems. Integrate graphics, audio, color correction, and effects as needed. Work closely with producers and reporters to meet editorial deadlines. Proven experience as a TV Graphic Producer, Motion Designer, or similar role in broadcast/digital media. Proficiency in professional graphic design and motion graphics software, including: Adobe After Effects Adobe Photoshop Adobe Premiere Adobe Illustrator VizRT, Chyron, Cinema4D, Strong camera operation skills in studio or field environments. Solid video editing skills with platforms such as Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, or Final Cut. Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines. Strong visual storytelling and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Ability to read / write in Dari and Pashto  Experience in a newsroom or live broadcast environment. Knowledge of current broadcast design trends, typography, and motion design. Familiarity with audio mixing, color grading, and production workflows. Additional Duties may Apply Serves as a team leader, assigning work and coaching team members and reporting to management on their performance Writes and produces news and feature content and programming as assigned for use in broadcasts and web and social media As assigned, during programs, serves as line producer and manages the timing and order of stories included in broadcasts Conducts and writes up interviews for inclusion in his/her assigned stories Adapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assigned Versions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assigned Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned Voices material for/during broadcasts as assigned, including material prepared by others Contributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assigned As assigned, edits and approves copy and content prepared or written by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in his/her assigned stories Adapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assigned Versions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assigned Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned Voices material for/during broadcasts as assigned, including material prepared by others Contributes finished products meeting standards to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assigned Performs technical functions including operation of equipment, as assigned Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines Serves as videographer/reporter, as assigned Serves as anchor/program host as assigned Makes suggestions about policy and workflow improvements Works independently or as a member of a team Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assigned Has specialized knowledge including formal education in a field desired by VOA, regularly demonstrating that added ability through the performance of his/her duties Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOAs digital asset management system Other related duties as assigned   About the Agency The United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is an exciting, multi-media, multi-cultural, global media agency that carries out all United States civilian international broadcasting.
