The IP Support Analyst will provide clerical and technical support to the IP Docketing and Transfer departments as well as the IP Annuity Analysts. In particular, the IP Support Analyst will assist with special projects including mass-updating of case records in the IP docketing system in addition to assisting the IP Support Systems Administrator to resolve technical issues with the IP Docketing department's systems. The IP Support Analyst will also coordinate with the IP Annuity Analysts, attorneys and the firm's clients to ensure the annuity payment process runs smoothly with the firm's vendor Clarivate. The IP Support Analyst will need to be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as make practical decisions; have the ability to problem-solve; possess proficient oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with attorneys and all levels of business professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical and technical support to the docketing department, transfer department and IP Annuity Analysts
- Assist the IP Support Systems Administrator in investigating technical issues regarding the docketing department's systems as well as answering system-related questions from the docketing and transfer staff
- Update the docketing system where more than twenty cases need to be updated for one particular item
- Update the docketing system with attorney changes and other bibliographic information regarding cases
- Assist with overflow of auditing newly transferred-in cases and other transfer-related assignments
- Professional and effective communication with attorneys and staff, to include answering annuity and system-related questions
- Resolving annuity inaccuracies and other associated requests where applicable
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of three (3) years intellectual property background in an office environment performing clerical and technical work requiredÂ
- Must have a working knowledge of IP Docketing systems and software Â
- Experience with large IP docketing and transfer projects strongly preferred #LI-HybridÂ

The actual offered amount will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
Washington D.C. - $76,700 to $107,400
