Responsibilities

LMI is seeking a skilled ISSM / RMF Lead to manage information systems security and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities across a network of technical communications facilities. This individual will serve as the primary security authority for systems accreditation, working closely with government Authorizing Officials, facility leads, and technical teams spread across multiple locations. 

Primary duties include: 

  • Lead RMF assessment and authorization activities for systems across all program facilities. 
  • Develop and maintain system security plans, POA&Ms, and supporting accreditation documentation. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison with government Authorizing Officials and security control assessors. 
  • Coordinate with facility, network, and systems teams to ensure security controls are implemented and maintained. 
  • Monitor the security posture of systems and lead remediation of identified vulnerabilities. 

 

Location: This position is based in the Washington, DC metro area, with travel to program locations. 

Travel: This position requires approximately 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations. 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 
  • 7+ years of information systems security experience, including RMF/ISSM responsibilities. 
  • Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, and related risk management guidance. 
  • Hands-on experience with ICD 705 physical security standards and SCIF accreditation processes.DoD 8570/8140 IAM Level II or III certification (e.g., CISSP, CAP, CASP+). 
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams. 

 

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience supporting intelligence community (ICD 503) accreditation processes. 
  • Prior experience standing up accreditation packages for new facilities. 
  • Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments (SAP-eligible required).
