Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities

The IT Project Manager – Lead / Program-Level provides integrated leadership and governance across all Task Order activities, ensuring the successful delivery of cybersecurity and IT initiatives for federal clients. Serving as the primary interface with Government stakeholders, including the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), this role is responsible for coordinating complex, multi-workstream programs, managing dependencies, risks, and schedules, and maintaining transparency, accountability, and effective communication throughout program execution. The ideal candidate possesses extensive program management experience in federal environments, demonstrating the ability to drive execution, manage competing priorities, and support executive-level decision-making while aligning with contract requirements and organizational objectives.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Provide program-level leadership and governance across all Task Order (TO) activities, ensuring alignment with contract objectives and delivery expectations.
  • Serve as the primary interface with Government leadership and the COR, managing communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Establish and maintain project management standards, reporting cadence, and quality assurance processes across all program workstreams.
  • Integrate and manage program schedules, risks, and dependencies, ensuring visibility and coordination across teams.
  • Oversee resource allocation and workload balancing, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel across projects and priorities.
  • Identify, track, and escalate enterprise-level risks, issues, and decision points to leadership as appropriate.
  • Support strategic planning efforts, including roadmap development, program forecasting, and long-term execution planning.
  • Prepare and deliver executive briefings, status reports, and program updates to internal leadership and Government stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, compliance, security operations, and advisory groups to ensure cohesive delivery.

Normal Work Schedule

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM and requires flexibility to work remotely or on-site (if applicable per client RTO policies). On occasion additional hours may be necessary. 

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in IT project or program management, preferably within federal or government contracting environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, multi-workstream programs with complex dependencies.
  • Experience interfacing directly with Government stakeholders, including CORs and program leadership.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and governance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage program schedules, risks, resource allocation, and reporting across multiple teams.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity, cloud, or IT modernization programs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver updates to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to support federal contracting environments..

Preferred Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile-related certification
  • ITIL or program management certifications
