Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities

The IT Project Manager (Cloud & Infrastructure Delivery Focus) oversees the delivery of cloud, network, and infrastructure security engineering initiatives across Quzara’s federal and commercial environments. This role manages schedules, dependencies, risks, and reporting to support modernization efforts, coordinates technical execution among engineering teams, and ensures readiness for deployment. The ideal candidate possesses strong project management skills and experience with cloud and infrastructure delivery in regulated or high-availability settings, maintaining alignment with performance, availability, and continuity goals.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Manage cloud and infrastructure delivery projects, ensuring alignment with defined scope, timelines, and technical objectives.
  • Coordinate with Cloud Engineers, Network Security Engineers, and Infrastructure teams to support execution of engineering workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain deployment schedules, tracking milestones and ensuring readiness for implementation activities.
  • Track and manage dependencies, environment readiness, and change management activities across all phases of delivery.
  • Identify and manage risks related to performance, system availability, and business continuity, escalating issues as needed.
  • Provide delivery-focused progress reporting, including status updates, risk summaries, and milestone tracking to stakeholders.
  • Support coordination of infrastructure changes, upgrades, and modernization activities across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Ensure consistent communication and alignment between technical teams, program management, and leadership.

Normal Work Schedule: 

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM and requires flexibility to work remotely or on-site (if applicable per client RTO policies). On occasion additional hours may be necessary. 

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on cloud, infrastructure, or engineering delivery.
  • Experience managing cloud and infrastructure modernization projects, including deployment and change coordination.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, and infrastructure environments.
  • Experience coordinating with engineering teams across cloud, network, and security domains.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, dependency management, and change management processes.
  • Ability to manage risks related to system performance, availability, and continuity.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to support federal contracting environments.

Preferred Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile certification
  • Cloud-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals)
