POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems and Security Support Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining and improving CHCI’s technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and supporting the staff’s technology needs. This engineer will maintain the stability, integrity, and security of our technical infrastructure. In this hybrid role, the engineer will act as a critical bridge between our managed services provider and CHCI’s background infrastructure administration. The engineer will be responsible for implementing proper data governance, monitoring cybersecurity tools, implementing and maintaining a structured access management system across all areas of the organization, resolving Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk escalations, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the staff’s hardware and software needs.
The ideal candidate possesses a security-first mindset, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, an analytical approach to problem-solving and the multi-tasking skills required to handle both daily user issues and backend system health. This engineer should be comfortable liaising with users and enjoy learning new business processes in order to translate them into technical solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 2–3 years of experience working in an IT support, systems administration, or desktop engineering environment
- Have a clear understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls
- Proficient-level troubleshooting of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android ecosystems
- Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including (but not limited to): fields, page layouts, record types, dashboards and reports Independently meet time-sensitive deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Be flexible and have a positive attitude and willingness to step in where needed
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically about data

Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cyber Security
- Completion of or in the process of studying for the following cybersecurity certifications: A+, Network+, Security+
- Salesforce Associate certification
