We're looking for motivated candidates to fill the role Laboratory Technician in our office located in Washington, DC. Competitive starting pay based on prior experience, and $500 signing bonus! This is a great starting role in the engineering and construction industries!
Responsibilities:
路 Assisting in processing concrete test cylinders (stripping, logging, and curing).
路 Assisting in performing compressive strength testing of concrete test cylinders.
路 Calibrating field testing equipment.
路 Maintain field equipment inventory.
路 Report laboratory testing results to the project team verbally or in writing.
路 Interacting with senior staff members on a variety of projects, as needed.
路 Support a clean, safe, efficient laboratory environment.
路 Successfully complete necessary certifications (company-paid) to perform laboratory testing tasks.
o Pay raises will be provided for successful completion of certifications!
Qualifications:
路 High School degree or GED equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Geology a plus)
路 Valid (ACI, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, etc.) certifications are a plus and will result in higher starting pay!
路 Ability to meet pre-employment criteria, including motor vehicle record.
路 Possess good oral and written communication skills.
路 Ability to perform basic mathematic computations.
路 Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds.
