The Lead Project Analyst will be responsible for working with executive leadership and agency offices supporting our client, the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The Lead Project Analyst will oversee a team of Project Analysts responsible for routing, tracking, and collection of information needed to respond to inquiries fielded by a PMO centric agency division. The Lead Project Analyst must be adept at process management and improvement, task tracking, and analyzing requirements. The Lead Project Analyst will materially participate in the functions of the project. Our client’s mission is to effectively ensure that informational and legislative requests from stakeholders across the agency, government, and private sectors are addressed according to prescribed operating procedures and an established concurrence process. You must be able to work independently with minimal guidance.Â
The selected candidate will report directly to the Hite Program Manager.Â
This position is a hybrid role primarily working remotely, with client engagement activities in Washington D.C.
Position Duties:
- Lead team oversight activities including acting as first-line client contact, project scheduling, managing resources, and internal team oversight.Â
- Serve as client-facing lead on allocating resources to meet the project requirements.Â
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of process management including identifying pathways for efficiencies and correcting any impediments to achieving project goals.
- Provide project monitoring, response metrics, and summaries of activities.Â
- Compose communications, including correspondence related to the routing and tracking of information task requests received by FEMA.
- Ensure clear, concise communications with agency staff and other FEMA/DHS components when managing the routing and tracking of information requests.
- Interface with division personnel on securing information to satisfy task requests, establish response timelines, and effectively communicate with parties receiving information requests.Â
- Review FEMA/DHS policies, directives, and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Meticulously track tasks from start to finish following detailed operating procedures designed to streamline information collection and solicitation.Â
- Provide training and guidance to FEMA staff on processes related to information routing and how to respond according to prescribed procedures.
- Facilitate the approval process for all congressional, White House, and media inquiries that require agency response.
- Facilitate approval and signature by agency executive leadership.
- Ensure that written materials are accurate (fact checking), well organized, and appropriate for the intended audience.Â

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience (6+ years if you possess an advanced degree) working in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and with demonstrated success in project oversightÂ
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in managing multiple projects and coordinating deliverablesÂ
- Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skillsÂ
- Experience with tracking multiple tasks and communicating effectively in writing
- Proficiency in the use of file-sharing, word processing software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Planner and/or Project
- Experience with posting, editing, and maintaining information on the SharePoint platform
- Experience in an environment requiring filing documents, electronic routing, or managing file structures within a MS-SharePoint environmentÂ
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Effective project management skills to create and deliver under tight deadlinesÂ
- US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within the discipline of federal grants or PMO office
- Legislative Affairs experienceÂ
- Federal government and/or management consulting experienceÂ
