Key Responsibilities:Â
- Support patient care before, during, and after procedures under clinical supervisionÂ
- Prepare procedure rooms and surgical instruments according to AAAHC standardsÂ
- Assist physicians during pre-op visits, procedures, and post-op careÂ
- Apply post-procedure dressings and garments with patient comfort in mindÂ
- Maintain clean and sterile operating environments and safely dispose of materialsÂ
- Ensure proper storage and handling of patient records and maintain HIPAA complianceÂ
- Help manage medical supplies and equipment levelsÂ
- Provide clear instructions to patients and caregivers on treatment and medicationsÂ
- Retrieve and organize patient records as requestedÂ
- Collaborate with the team to meet clinical and operational goalsÂ
Required Skills & Qualifications:Â
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and state-required credentialsÂ
- Current BLS certificationÂ
- Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Proficiency in MS Office, including ExcelÂ
- Basic math skillsÂ
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, and diagram formÂ
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment (e.g., OR table, suction devices, laser, oxygen tanks, AED kits)Â
- Professional, problem-solving mindset with a focus on patient careÂ
Physical Requirements:Â
- Standing and walking for long periodsÂ
- Using phones, computers, and medical equipmentÂ
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Â
- Good vision and hearing for clinical safetyÂ
