MacMore is seeking to fill a Medical IT Specialist position for a pending contract award with the United States Secret Service Safety, Health & Environmental Programs Division. 

Location:
Washington, DC or Laurel, MD
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • The Medical IT specialist shall know about implementing and administering common TCP/IP based services within a complex enterprise data center environment.
  • Combines knowledge of Network systems and cybersecurity to tactically apply information security principles to track all planned changes to assigned systems, assessing planned changes to determine potential system security posture impact, ensuring timely identification and reporting of planned NAS system changes with potential cybersecurity impact, and supporting cyber operations activity.
  • Experience in the administration and management of the operations of a multitude of network appliances, systems, and backbone routers and switches.
  • Experience with monitoring and managing networks for network health and configuration of functional, local, and wide area networks, and associated hardware and software.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and evaluates abnormal situations related to network degradation caused by incorrect software, inadequate operating procedures, and equipment failure.
  • Knowledge and experience with programming and maintaining networking devices; monitoring and troubleshooting network elements to ensure that problems are discovered and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving all information technology problems and determining whether cable, equipment, or operations is the problem.
  • Administering networks in an operational environment; this includes installing, maintaining, and securing Cisco routers and switches; administering Cisco ASA Firewalls and Cisco Identity Service Administering the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems to prior to the meeting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree; possess a minimum of 8 years’ experience working in the medical administrative field;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite, including but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. General document processing and management.
  • Ability to research, collect, develop and consolidate data for use in the preparation of reports.
  • Knowledge of standard processing procedures, formats, and distribution for correspondence, presentations and reports produced.
