Douglass Lewis Center for Church Leadership at Wesley Theological Seminary is dedicated to building actionable knowledge for church leadership. Through research, resource development, and educational initiatives, the Center equips clergy and lay leaders with the insights and tools needed to lead vibrant, effective congregations. POSITION SUMMARY The Multimedia Specialist leads end-to-end audio and video production for the Lewis Center for Church Leadership. Working closely with the Director of Content Development and the Marketing Manager, this position produces, directs, edits, and distributes multimedia assets including podcasts (e.g., Leading Ideas Talks), video courses, promotional materials, and event recordings to expand the Center's reach and impact across digital platforms. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Production & Field Operations Directing & Studio Production: Serve as primary director and audio/video engineer for studio, location, and remote recordings for Center podcasts, interviews, and course modules. Equipment & Studio Management: Oversee Center AV hardware, camera setups, lighting rigs, microphones, and production studio equipment. Post-Production & Editing Audio & Video Editing: Execute precise audio cleanup, mixing, video editing, color grading, and graphics insertion for podcasts, online course videos, and social clips. Digital Asset Optimization: Format, compress, and deliver multimedia files for website integration, learning management systems, YouTube, and podcast delivery networks. Content Distribution & Collaboration Cross-Department Coordination: Partner with the Marketing Manager to produce promotional reels, social media video cuts, and promotional audio teasers. Media Archive Management: Maintain a structured, searchable repository of raw footage, audio recordings, and finished media assets. Qualifications Experience: 3+ years of professional audio/video production and editing experience. Technical Tools: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects) or similar professional production suites. Audio/Visual Expertise: Strong understanding of multi-camera capture, audio leveling, studio lighting, and remote recording software (e.g., SquadCast, Zoom). Portfolio: Candidates must provide a portfolio demonstrating published video and audio production work.
