We are looking to hire a Network Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. This position reports to the Program Manager.

 

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the following:

The Junior RF/Electrical Engineer serves as a technical resource for the Program Office. Their primary function is to carry out technical tasks and evaluate engineering performance of EW equipment for the Program Office. The Sponsor anticipates travel to be approximately 10 percent of the year to CONUS locations.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (or a related field), from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Relevant certification in computer networking, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or CompTIA Network+
  • Five years of experience working with network devices, including routers, switches, firewall, and load balancers.
  • Five years of experience in network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols like OSPF and EIGRP 
  • Five years of experience applying network security principles, including firewall configuration, access control, and encryption
  • Five years of experience in briefing preparation, presentation, and delivery of verbal and visual reports to both technical and non-technical audiences


Required Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI W/Poly


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience related to networking, installation, testing, and maintenance of both fixed-site and mobile UAS and RCIED platforms.
  • Experience with the installation of systems at domestic and overseas facilities utilizing fiber optics, Ethernet, and microwave systems for content delivery and control.
  • Service in the foreign field to include hostile, austere, and denied areas and conflict zones.


Physical Requirements:

This position requires lifting, standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
