Description

Position Overview


Cogent Security is seeking a highly detailed and energetic Operations Specialist to support the National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Office of International Nuclear Safeguards (NA-241). This role is central to ensuring operational excellence, facilitating seamless cross-office coordination, and providing high-level office support to ensure mission continuity for the NA-241 leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Coordination: Lead cross-office coordination efforts and daily operations, including the active management of taskers and the coordination of multifaceted logistics.
  • Knowledge Management: Oversee and enhance systems for file, records, and knowledge management to ensure organizational efficiency, data integrity, and accessibility.
  • Executive Support: Act as the primary administrative lead to support the 241 lead and designated staff, including preparing high-quality presentation materials, compiling detailed research, and managing special projects.
  • Travel & Logistics: Manage complex travel arrangements and logistics to ensure seamless execution of program leadership activities.
  • Operational Readiness: Proactively identify and address emerging office needs, providing rapid-response office and analytical support as priorities evolve.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of related professional experience, with demonstrated capability in intra- and inter-agency coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 
  • Current and active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret Clearance is required.
  • Strong writing, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proactive self-starter with a strong team-player mindset.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint; demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital systems and platforms.


Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within government environments (e.g., DOD, DOE) or the military.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NNSA programs and policies.
  • Interest in nuclear nonproliferation policies and issues.
