Bring energy to the evening experience! As a PM Bartender at The Canopy DC, you’ll craft high-quality beverages while creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for guests. What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferencesÂ
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service at the bar and in the dining areaÂ
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar (glassware, garnishes, and supplies)Â
- Accurately process orders using POS systems and handle cash/credit transactionsÂ
- Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with alcohol lawsÂ
- Monitor guest consumption and promote responsible serviceÂ
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and bar supplies as neededÂ
- Assist with inventory counts and communicate supply needs to managementÂ
- Clean and sanitize bar surfaces, tools, and equipmentÂ
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless serviceÂ
- Address guest concerns and escalate issues when neededÂ
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standardsÂ
- Support other restaurant operations as needed
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage preparationÂ
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with guestsÂ
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentÂ
- Strong attention to detail and accuracyÂ
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skillsÂ
- Basic math skills for handling transactionsÂ
- Professional appearance and adherence to dress standardsÂ
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible availabilityÂ
Qualifications
- 1+ year of bartending experience preferredÂ
- Hospitality or restaurant experience strongly preferredÂ
- High school diploma or GED requiredÂ
- Valid alcohol service certification (per local/state laws)Â
- Knowledge of DC alcohol laws and regulationsÂ
- English fluency requiredÂ
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysÂ
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsÂ
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (kegs, cases, supplies)Â
- Frequent reaching, bending, and repetitive motions (shaking, pouring, garnishing)Â
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy bar environmentÂ
- Ability to safely handle glassware and bar equipment
