Meta is seeking a Policy Planning Manager to support central operations and special projects for the policy organization. In this role, you'll be a member of the Policy Planning team, a globally focused central team that supports Policy through strategic planning, coordination, and operational excellence. You will serve as the operational backbone of the team — managing logistics and coordination for major executive engagements and events, running day-to-day program operations, and ensuring that the team's workstreams move forward on time and at a high standard. You will work closely with Policy Planning leadership to support a growing portfolio of policy programs and cross-functional initiatives. Additionally, you will champion AI adoption across the policy org, helping teams integrate AI-native workflows into their operations. The candidate will manage executive-level deliverables across planning, coordination, and content development. They can manage complex workback plans independently, taking ambiguous inputs and distilling them into clear, concise briefing materials for board-level and C-suite audiences. They bring intellectual curiosity about AI and technology, with the ability to drive tool adoption and workflow transformation to increase the team's efficiency and impact. They will demonstrate independent judgment, cross-functional influence, and the ability to drive projects forward independently, proactively identifying risks and escalating decisions as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Enable operational excellence across the Policy Planning team by developing and maintaining AI systems and tools to track team priorities, program deliverables, and operational workflows across the team
  • Lead operational planning and logistics for major policy engagement events (e.g., UNGA, Davos, Global Policy Council, senior government trips, DC-based events) — including workback plans, participant coordination, run-of-show, and on-site execution
  • Triage and route policy escalations, ensuring that the right people are looped in and issues are resolved or escalated appropriately
  • Support quarterly budget cycles — gathering data, maintaining trackers, preparing materials for budget review meetings
  • Coordinate cross-functional AI transformation initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Business, or similar field
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, policy operations, event management, or a related field
  • Experience managing complex logistics for senior-level meetings or events with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of building and maintaining operational systems
  • Experience communicating decisions and project updates in writing and verbally to senior stakeholders (e.g., briefing documents, executive summaries, status reports)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with event advance and on-the-ground execution for high-profile events
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience in technology policy, government affairs, or a related policy environment
  • Experience supporting C-suite or senior government principals
  • Familiarity with budget processes, procurement, or program finance
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience leading AI/technology adoption or transformation initiatives within a large organization
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
