Essential Job Functions
- Shape and execute projects that improve day‑to‑day operations across the Political Law Practice Group, helping attorneys work efficiently and advancing strategic priorities
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve internal systems including trackers, templates, workflows, and information‑management tools to bring clarity, organization, and scalability to complex work.
- Track and manage timelines and deliverables for major practice group initiatives and election‑related deployments
- Coordinate and support practice group meetings, trainings, events, and communications including by developing agendas, organizing and drafting materials, managing timelines, and ensuring next steps and action items are tracked and completed.
- Conduct short‑turnaround, non‑legal research
- Review and proofread internal and external written materials
- Assist with planning and logistics for the Summer Associate Program
- Provide administrative support to political law as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and a strong academic background
- Minimum of 2 years of experience on a political campaign, political or non-profit organization, government office, law firm, or public affairs agency is preferred.
- A strong interest in politics and commitment to Democratic valuesÂ
- Applicants must have excellent organization and prioritization skills and fluency in the various Microsoft Office applications.Â
- Candidates must be adept at prioritizing multiple projects across competing deadlines and have strong attention to detail.Â
- This role requires a heightened ability to maintain positive and productive contact with attorneys and staff members, while observing confidentiality of client and firm matters.Â
- Candidates must be able to work additional hours beyond the normal schedule as required, especially around relevant election dates.
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, work well individually and collaboratively, and demonstrate proactivity and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
- Position is hybrid and requires presence in a professional office environment (DC). Currently set as Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- Position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.Â
- Position requires that the employee be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.Â
Physical Demands
- This position is primarily a sedentary position.  However, some duties and responsibilities may require the employee to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, occasionally move about to access office equipment, file cabinets, etc.
- May require employee to carry or lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.Â
