The Brand Guild’s Commercial Real Estate team works with some of the most iconic neighborhoods, retail brands, innovative developers and leaders in the country and we are looking for a Public Relations Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will work with and help tell the stories of innovative, cutting-edge companies that are truly revolutionizing the environment in which we work, play and live. Note: This position is hybrid (3 days/week in office) and based in our Georgetown headquarters in Washington, D.C.

You Will:

  • Manage client clips and reporting
  • Write press releases, media briefings and prepare information for the media
  • Assist with the development of compelling pitches and proactively identify media opportunities
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, national and trade media
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of editorial calendars and proactive pitching of story ideas, news developments and expert sources to media
  • Perform in-depth research to support communications, messaging and media strategy
  • Stay on top of the news, trends and conversations relevant to our clients and regularly bring ideas and insights to the team
  • Help identify thought leadership opportunities for executives and industry experts
  • Attend and provide support at press events, openings and other client moments
  • Provide administrative support for the press team on all relevant projects, including media list maintenance, meeting agendas and notes and reporting
  • Analyze, measure and report on communications and media projects
  • Learn from the best in the business!

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of public relations agency experience (experience working with commercial real estate, development, architecture, design, hospitality or related clients is a plus)
  • A genuine enthusiasm for PR, media and storytelling and a desire to grow your career in an agency environment
  • Ability to find and develop stories and drive visibility — from major project announcements and openings to thought leadership and an ongoing drumbeat of media coverage
  • Ability to provide essential support for press initiatives, including research, writing and media relations
  • Ability to work alongside a team, from interns to senior staff
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and clients
  • Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to jump in wherever needed
