Position Summary
We are currently seeking an Office Engineer to support Civil engineering solutions to Shrewsberry’s municipal and industrial clients in Washington DC. Typical projects include facilities relating to construction services and water and wastewater services. The Office Engineer is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Office Engineer responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management, including:  Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing and controlling all construction project documentation in Unifier.Â
• Update Construction Management plan
• Ensures that all construction documents and required recordkeeping is maintained appropriately
• Project based communications both external and internal communications with the project team
• Technical writing of project documents and documentation managementÂ
• Monitor and observe daily construction activities on projects
• Establish project controls and proceduresÂ
• Prepare monthly reports, maintain project records, review contractor payment requests
• Project documentation includes transmittals, submittals, Requests for Information (RFI), letters, faxes, emails etc
• Attend progress meetings and generate status reports to Construction Manager as required. Â
• Interface as necessary with project team, vendors, contractors, suppliers, and other service providers.
• Assist with large-sewer rehabilitation projects from design/permitting phase through construction servicesÂ
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field, from an accredited college
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• MD or VA PE preferred or ability to obtain via reciprocity within first 6 months

This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $140,000 - $150,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and PTO.
