Magnolia Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Residential Plumbing Installation Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance a career in residential plumbing. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, hardworking, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while working alongside experienced plumbers on residential installation projects throughout the Washington, DC area.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of residential plumbing systems, including water lines, drain lines, fixtures, water heaters, and related components.
- Support lead plumbers on residential plumbing installation and replacement projects.
- Learn to read and interpret plumbing diagrams and installation specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings using hand and power tools.
- Assist with the installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, showers, tubs, water heaters, and other residential plumbing fixtures.
- Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, supervisors, and team members.
- Participate in training and apprenticeship development programs.
Requirements
- Previous residential plumbing, construction, mechanical, or trade experience preferred but not required.Â
- Strong desire to learn the residential plumbing trade.Â
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.Â
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.Â
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.Â
- Good communication and organizational skills.Â
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor in residential work environments.Â
- Ability to work in crawl spaces, attics, basements, and other confined spaces as needed.Â
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.Â
