Job Description

As a Security Officer Licensed Site Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic financial institution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support daily operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobby areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity within a financial institution environment, helping to support authorized entry procedures and professional interactions with staff, clients, and vendors.
• Support Allied Universal account objectives by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and communicating clearly with site contacts and/or local responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
